Making learning to swim a breeze!

By re-working the Zoggs kids’ swimwear packaging, creating a simple traffic light coding system, Pull enabled Zoggs packaging to have real cut-through in retail environments such as Matalan, Sports Direct, Trotters and Amazon.

The Challenge

Australian swimwear brand Zoggs recognises 3 stages of development when children learn to swim. These three stages includes ‘Start to Swim’, ‘Learn to Swim’ and ‘Confident Swimmers’ helping young swimmers progress and get confidence in the water. To enable this Zoggs have a range of products to support each learning stage.

Zoggs had been using simple stock lifestyle photography, but this was failing to cut through. The current product ranges were struggling to successfully communicate these stages or help to distinguish each group and their relative swimming needs.

What did we do?

Pull introduced a simple yet striking threefold visual device across all customer facing materials and packaging; including a traffic light colour coding system, strong typographic differentiation and illustrated characters for each group.

Simplicity and adaptability were key criteria for the new design. These qualities shone through in the retail environment. Our concept was applied across all packaging and POS materials from store front to racking and beyond.

This new striking and simple design enabled Zoggs kids’ swimwear range to really stand out in a competitive retail environment and enable consumers to choose the right products for their little swimmers.
